November 19, 2002 Update

I got the call from our adoption agency this morning that we received permission from the Chinese government to travel to China to pick up our daughter. We need to leave for China on December 6. We will be able to leave China on December 18. We can add to the beginning or end of that period for sightseeing. But we need to leave December 6 at the latest to make our first scheduled appointment (meeting with orphanage officials and being handed our daughter) and stay till December 18 (the day after our daughter is scheduled to receive an immigrant visa from the U.S. Consulate).
