One adoption agency verifies that they received Chinese adoption referrals today for their clients with dossier log in dates of December 23, 2004 – January 27, 2005 (which for them covers all of their January dossier log in dates).
On the internet bulletin boards, people are posting that they are receiving their referrals today. So far, the latest LID in this batch is January 26, 2005. I may need to re-think my estimated referral date (to earlier).
We received a letter from our adoption agency today stating that our dossier was sent to China last Friday (July 15) and was received in China last Monday (July 18).

Our dossier (formal application to the Chinese government to adopt a child) was mailed by our agency to China today.

Before our dossier (the China adoption application packet) is sent to China, most of the documents in the dossier need to be notarized (already taken care of by us at the local UPS store), certified by the California Secretary of State’s Office, and then authenticated by the local Chinese Consulate in San Francisco.
