Yesterday was the one year anniversary of meeting Emily for the first time.

Today, we went to the BCIS (formerly the INS) office in Sacramento for an appointment involving an application for Emily’s certificate of citizenship. The appointment was quick and easy. Emily is now a skilled walker and frequently runs. When we are outside, she prefers to walk rather than be carried.

In today’s mail, we received Emily’s U.S. passport. It has only been 12 days since we turned in the passport application at the local post office. We did not request it on a rush basis since we won’t actually be traveling anytime soon.
